Lent | Reading 26

The season of Lent provides a time for us to contemplate the depth and passion of our commitment to Christ as we approach Holy Week and Easter. Forty days are set aside as a sacred time to remember the forty days of fasting and prayer that Jesus spent in the wilderness before beginning His earthly ministry.

Today’s readings at Lent:

My enemies, don’t be glad because of my troubles! I may have fallen, but I will get up; I may be sitting in the dark, but the Lord is my light.

Micah 7:8 CEV

Micah 7:8 NASB

Micah 7:8 NIV

Micah 7:8 MESSAGE

Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again.

Nelson Mandela
