We look at the circumstance of this world and wonder, “What in the world can God do with this?” How can God use a tragedy to bring about good? Where is God when we are hurting so much? Sometimes we focus the spotlight on ourselves, “How could God ever use someone like me?” Our ability to imagine – our vision – is often short-sighted.

How does God want to use you in this circumstance to accomplish more than you could possibly dream of?

Anthony “Tony” Campolo (born February 25, 1935) is an American sociologist, author and pastor. He gained national notoriety by being a spiritual advisor to President Bill Clinton. Dr. Campolo is professor emeritus at Eastern University and a former faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania. Known as one of the most influential leaders in the evangelical left, Tony’s voice proposes progressive thought within the evangelical community. For forty years, he led the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education, an organization he founded to support programs serving needy communities. Dr. Campolo has written over 35 books and provides leadership for the progressive movement, Red Letter Christians.

The title of one of Tony Campolo’s earliest books spoke to our concept: The Kingdom of God is a Party. In the book, Tony recounts a time when he helped throw a birthday celebration. If you have not heard this story, it will be one that you always remember.

The gracious spirit of God celebrates when we return to the Father. We need to graciously celebrate our relationships with others in the same way. God wants to use your joy in Him to do immeasurably more than you can imagine.
